Terms of Service

Cutz is a desktop app that helps you learn and practise turntablism. You play along to workouts on your turntables or a supported controller, and Cutz scores how closely you match the technique. Some features are free and some require a paid Pro subscription.

• You need an account to save progress, upload attempts and use leaderboards.
• You must give accurate information and keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• You must be at least 12 years old to use Cutz.

• Pro is a paid subscription, billed monthly or yearly at the price shown when you subscribe. Prices may change, and any change applies from your next billing period.
• Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Except where the law says otherwise, payments already made are not refunded.

You agree not to:

• break the law or infringe anyone else's rights while using Cutz;
• cheat on scores or leaderboards, or tamper with the app, its scoring or its servers;
• copy, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute Cutz, except where the law allows it;
• use Cutz to harass others or share anything unlawful or abusive.

We may remove scores, suspend accounts or restrict access if these rules are broken.

You keep ownership of the recordings and other content you create with Cutz. By uploading it you give us permission to store it and use it to run Cutz for you, for example to score your attempts, show your results and display your name and score on leaderboards.

Only use music, samples and other audio that you have the right to use. You are responsible for the audio you play through Cutz.

Cutz, including its software, scoring methods, workouts, design and branding, belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Cutz for your own practice. Nothing here transfers any ownership to you.

Cutz works with third-party hardware and software. Names and logos such as AlphaTheta, Pioneer DJ, Serato and Rane belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility. Cutz is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by them. Compatibility depends on your equipment and settings and is not guaranteed.

We work to keep Cutz running and improving, but we do not promise that it will always be available, free of errors or compatible with every setup. Features, workouts and plans may change or be withdrawn. We may update the app and these terms. If we make a significant change to the terms we will update the date at the top of this page.

Cutz is provided “as is”. Scores and feedback are a practice aid and not a guarantee of improvement or skill. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data or lost profits, and our total liability to you for anything arising from Cutz is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

You can stop using Cutz at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as ownership and liability, continue after your access ends.
