Last updated 2 November 2026
This policy explains what information Cutz collects when you use the app and this website, how it is used and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account details: your email address and any profile details you add, such as a display name.
- Practice data: the workouts you do, your scores and accuracy, your progress, level and XP, and your scores in competitions and leaderboards.
- Recordings: when you finish an attempt, the data and audio of your scratching may be uploaded so it can be scored and shown back to you.
- Payment information: subscriptions are handled by Stripe. We receive your subscription status, but not your full card details.
- Usage and device information: which screens and features you use, plus basic device details such as operating system, language and screen size, collected through Google Analytics.
- Settings on your device: your audio, hardware and preference settings are stored locally on your computer.
2. How we use it
- To run Cutz: sign you in, score your attempts, track your progress and show leaderboards.
- To provide Pro and handle billing.
- To understand how Cutz is used so we can fix problems and improve it.
- To keep Cutz fair and secure, and to reply when you contact us.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. What others can see
If you take part in leaderboards, other players can see your display name and your scores for those workouts. Your recordings and detailed results are not shown to other players unless you take part in a feature that is designed to share them, such as a head-to-head game.
4. Who we share it with
We use trusted providers to run Cutz. They process data on our behalf:
- Google (Firebase): sign-in, database, file storage and the servers that score attempts.
- Google Analytics: usage and device statistics.
- Stripe: payments and subscriptions.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and Cutz. Some providers process data outside your country.
5. Analytics choices
Usage analytics are on by default. You can turn them off at any time in the app, on the Profile page. Once off, Cutz stops sending usage events.

7. How long we keep it
We keep your account and practice data while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account we will delete or anonymise your personal data, except where we need to keep some of it to meet legal obligations, such as payment records.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to complain to your data protection authority. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
